Perhaps nobody can compare the football cultures at Aabama and Texas A&M as well as Gene Stallings. He played for coach Paul Bryant at Texas A&M, then served as an assistant coach under the “Bear” at Alabama for seven years (1958-64). Stallings then was the head coach at Texas A&M for seven years (1965-71). He later served seven years as the head coach at Alabama (1990-96). He won the 1992 national championship and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010. He's looking forward to the 2:30 p.m. CDT game Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium between No. 1 Alabama (9-0, 6-0 SEC) and No. 15 Texas A&M (7-2, 4-2).
