Both Yeldon and Lacy with 5 games remaining have an opportunity to surpass the 1,000 yard mark this season.

Does anybody remember the last time Bama had 2 backs over a 1,000 yards each??

TIA.

I think the reason why we didn't lately, is because we always had one dominate RB who took most carriers. If Lacey was healthy, I bet he would have more carriers. But I can definitely see both going over 1000, since we have five games left.

I don't know if it's ever been done, but I will say this --- if Yeldon does surpass the 1,000 yard mark, he will absolutely crush the 'Bama career rushing mark of 3,565 yards set by Shaun Alexander.
The mark has been in danger the past several years, but early defections to the NFL by Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson have kept the mark intact. I'm pretty sure Yeldon will surpass the freshman rushing record fairly easily, if he hasn't done so already.

I think Grant has the record at 891. So Yeldon is on pace to beat it.

these two are averaging 80ypg and 75ypg so barring injury both on pace to surpass 1k in game 4 or 5

- Yeldon: 725 yards (7.0 avg per rush) 80 yards per game average.
- Lacy: 679 yards (5.7 avg per rush) 75 yards per game on average.

If they maintain their averages in the next 5 games: Yeldon 1,125 yards - Lacy 1,054 yards.

It's definitely possible, especially against Western Carolina and Auburn. They both could have over 200 yards each in those 2 games.

For his last two (maybe 3) years at Washington, Nuss had a 3,000 yard passer and a 1,000 yard rusher. Let's assume Bama wins the West (very likely) and plays 5 games. This is what is needed for that to continue...

AJ needs to average 230.2 yards a game.
Yeldon needs to average 55 yards a game.
Eddie needs to average 64 yards a game.

Those are very manageable.
