This is why the 4 game playoff is so much better than the current format. You now need luck to make it to a single game, where in 2 years you would still have complete control over your destiny.
No SEC team deserves to play for all the beans this year. With SEC fatigue such a big factor nationally, we need to take the hit now because once the four team playoff begins teams out west aren't going to be able to BS their way to a title with a weak schedule, there will most likely always be at least one powerhouse SEC team in that lot.
Making it to the SECCG is always the first Goal!
That would make for a Great season honestly for this team.
I had heard we played 16 Freshmen? Not sure if it's true but Bama has some pieces yet to put in place.
Team just needs to settle down & play Alabama football. It's hard for anyone to come back from 3 TD's down.
I am not so sure the SEC may not be in the title game again....KSU has Texas on 12/1. Although Texas is not what they were, they still have athletes and anything can happen...Also if you do not think USCw does not want to stick it to ND in the worst kind of way, you do not know that rivalry....and that game will be played in LA.
Please God, anyone but Notre Dame. I can handle K-State or Orgeon or anyone, but not Notre Dame.
Due to the current workload, the light at the end of the tunnel will be temporarily turned off.
After losing the players to the draft that Bama did, suffering through the loss of our #2 running back (who would be anybody else's #1), and another injury to one of our top receivers in what was due to a rebuilding year for our defense anyway, I think a one loss season and a very good chance of an SEC Championship is a good year and I'll take it. No one should expect to win 3 NCs in 4 years. Coach Bryant couldn't even accomplish that when there was not an 85 scholarship limit.
The best thing to ever come out of Tennessee...I-65 heading south.
The SEC not winning the BCS this year is actually healthy for the league. Anyone who keeps up with Nascar, the SEC is Jimmy Johnson. Bama has been on a long stressful run. It just got too big for the team obviously. But my ultimate goal is still very much alive.......beat Auburn and win the SEC.
I hope that some of these young defensive players end up reaching the level of their predecessor. We needed a Clowney type player these year.
Even when I don't particularly like Brando, I give him credit for calling it that there would be no undefeated SEC Teams.
Now he is trying to appeal to the Bama and Georgia fans, but I don't disagree with his tweet:
"@TimBrando: I expect the winner of the SEC Title game to have a spot waiting in the BCS Championship game. Bama is not out of it, and Georgia has a shot"
