The injuries have everything to do with our play calling. If Fowler is in the lineup, we run the ball in from the 6 and win IMO.

Re: Why the Shift in Alabama's Offensive Philosophy?

I think some of the problems the last two weeks, is AJ missing a receiver, or the receiver not making the catch, led to more punting, more 3 and outs and less time of possession.
If we would have converted some of those, we could have worked on the running game more, because we would have had the ball longer.
I can't blame AJ though, as he doesn't look 100%.

Re: Why the Shift in Alabama's Offensive Philosophy?

2009 - First year starter at QB, great running back and most of defensive starters return = run the ball, safe calls for QB and play great defense, national champions. 2010 - Returning starting QB, lost most of starting defense = open up the play calling and throwing more, lose 3 games.

    2011 - look at '09. 2012 - Resembling 2010 but not finished just yet.

2013 - Most likely a first year starting QB, returning most starters on defense.

If Bama doesn't win it all again this season, which is unlikely, count on it next year!!! Not to shabby if ya ask me!

Next year has me worried a bit.
Not that we wont be a good team, but i could see us taking some lumps.
If a lot of the juniors leave for the draft-
AJ, CJ Mosley, DJ Fluker and Milliner.
Warmack, Jones , Lester and J. Williams graduating.
Could be in for some adjusting.

Of course we will return plenty of talent too though, so maybe it will all work out.

I hear all this talk about AJ being off, last week Cooper was hurt this week Cooper was still slowed then Norwood goes down, that will throw you off somewhat.

I don't think AJ is declaring for the draft.

One thing is obvious. This is nowhere near the best offensive line in college football. Maybe top 15.

I do believe the days of the mostly immobile QB are probably over.

Really??? there is no guarantee that Fowler would be in that series and if he did, who is to say that he would score?

Cooper is better than White when he was a freshmen and its not even close. regardless AJ will still under throw to White as he did Cooper and Bell.

Hart is good but not proven like Yeldon. we had Drake who is bigger than Hart and did not use him either.

i don't see too much of a difference. about the same amount of runs to pass. when you're behind 20pts in the first quarter, you're going to have to pass a little more.

is this how we're going to act after EVERY loss? i've never seen so much whining and second guessing coming from our fanbase. why does everyone have to nitpik and think they have the answer to everything?

some of ya'll need to subscribe to coach's 24 hour rule because this loss has drug on all week with some of you. hope the players aren't reading all this.

That's just silly. On both counts. Our offensive line is AT WORST a top 5 o-line.

I do believe there is a shift in QB style happening but it will be more Aaron Rodgers, not Mike Vick. AJ isn't totally immobile either, BUT he is injured.

Well that's me, definitely silly. Matter of opinion on both counts and I stick with mine.
