Joke. You do this ONLY to make one player bigger than the program and of course, to increase Heisman awareness. Either way, JOKE

If I was a Heisman voter, I would automatically disqualify from my ballot any player that is used at all in the second half against a team like Sam Houston State when you are up 34-0 at the half.

Not very cool. Signals lack of respect for the opponents, they are merely a backdrop. Did he try this at practice? There is no good answer to that question.

I don't dislike A&M or Manziel, but this was a clown move. A little disappointed in the HC.

I feel the repeat of a Honey Badger, think you will see some trouble coming as well.

Not my place to tell a program how they should run it but just look at the difference in Alabama.

Lots of Great players went thru the Capstone & even when Mark WON the Heisman he said Trent was better, gave credit to the line, spoke glowing about Julio.

One guy does not make a team unless its a$180,000 QB.

This was no gimmick or heisman marketing strategy. Sumlin said in post game presser that he was trying to keep things loose and fun for the boys. They've had no bye this year, and they are tired. A little inside scoop is that Manziel got onto our kicker last week when he missed an extra point during game against you. This was Sulin's way of keeping Manziel a little humble. "Hey heisman boy, it isn't as easy as it looks is it?!"

Yea, Florida Tom, we're looking forward to another shot at you too, and we hope you win the NC this year. My 12 year old says it as simple as it can be said. "If Bama beats ND in the title game, we can say we beat the national champion!"

This is no different than the Miami players that played tic-tac-toe in front of the cameras during their 46-3 Cotton Bowl pounding of Texas.

You guys are letting your recent success get to you. Once teams start hamming it up, the football gods usually step in.

Agreed. A&M fans, and coaches, can make any excuse they want about letting the QB attempt an extra point against an over matched opponent that is losing by 40 points, but that was a completely classless move and has no place in college football. There is no excuse for that type of nonsense. I was shocked to see an SEC team attempt such a stunt. It seems like something USCw would attempt under Kiffin.

LSU beat us last year. USC beat us in 78. It's one thing to beat a team on one Saturday but quite yet another to win a Conference Championship or a National Championship for that matter. I have faith you guys will get there one day but please try to act like you've been there (even if you haven't). Win with class and you'll be class. That is all.

That isn't a bad reason to show the QB the importance of specialists so I can't hate on Sumlin. I hope he emptied his roster for the other players to get some much needed experience. I think maybe your 12 year-old (I have one of those too :) shouldn't want to go against Bama again anytime soon. I am reminded when I see the QB from A&M about Tebow (He had God on his side), giving Saban time to plan for the second coming might remind A&M how mean our defense is when clicking. Also I would factor in there will be a chip on the teams shoulder that can only be fixed by another shot (shots) at the team that thinks it would have the same results again.

I give Mr. Manziel all the credit in the world so don't think that I don't, I wanted our D to actually look more ticked in that game, but I do not think he will come out of the next game as happy as this one. Although I think that our team needed a slap across the brow wake-up call so it was probably good to lose, I am just happy it didn't screw the entire SEC in the process. Oh and I hope that A&M isn’t taking this win as something other than a learning experience, lord knows everybody gets up for the game against us most everywhere. Yea they got a hot QB and they beat Bama, but is that really all they want? A&M hasn’t won a dang thing at this point…they lost 2 games this year? That is two games they shouldn’t lose if they want to get a title shot, which is what they came to the SEC for I think.

Just what were they supposed to get out of JM kicking an XP??? No QB that's won the Heisman has never had to kick an XP or just kick the ball in general.

Dang! Reckon I'm the only one who has no problem with it. It is aTm's business. Not mine.
I agree with you. I remember when Flutie drop-kicked an extra point for the Pats against Miami one year. Thought it was kinda cool...although he actually made it.
