YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! !
I'm so pumped!!!!
Now it's actually not that far-fetched if Bama wins out and you end with all the top teams with one loss each. Things could get really muddy if ND loses too...it could happen.
Lol -- a post from a Barner: "Of all the teams that would help Bama -why did it have to be the trees?"
It's amazing that just a few weeks ago, it was considered a given that Oregon would have to beat Southern Cal twice.
1973 Sugar Bowl: ND beats Bama 13-11 on a flukey TD play in the 4th quarter. (Bama still won the NC because it was decided after the regular season and before the bowls in those days, but still...)
1974 Orange Bowl: ND beats Bama 24-23.
1977: Bama (#2 or 3 in the polls, iirc) kicks OSU's butt 35-6 in the Sugar Bowl. ND (#5) beats Texas in the Cotton Bowl something like 38-10, and jumps over everybody to be declared NC.
Would love to see the Tide get them in the NC and kick their butts into next week.
And I told y'all !!!
I'll always look back as I walk away
This memory will last for eternity
And all of our tears will be lost in the rain
Til I find my way back to your arms again
Only a few people in the world have the ability to remember everything. I'm one of them. Pick any day of my life, and I can tell you what I saw or heard.

Don't forget 1980. #6 Notre Dame beat #5 Alabama, 7-0 in Birmingham. At the time, there was talk that Alabama could play UGA in the Sugar Bowl for the national title. The ND loss ended that.
