Our players, coaching staff and vast majority of our fans have nothing but respect for the tide, your coaching staff and most of the tide fans. Coach richts bright idea as you call it against florida back in 07 worked,we won that game. I would think that most bama fans would have at least some degree of respect for coach richt. Especially after his gesture of kindness to tyrone prothro back in 05/06. He and our entire 05 s.e.c championship team sent a signed gameball to him while he was recovering in the hospital from a broken leg he suffered. Coach richt and our players did that out of respect and kindness, for no other reasons. They had nothing else to gain from it.
i was referring to the poster that had asked what richt said about beating the #2 team (florida), not about rambo's statement. i don't really care that his little stunt helped win the game against florida, it was still classless. i have stated here before that i do not like UGA as a football program under Richt or Richt as a coach (and again, i hope you do not take this personally, its not meant that way).

I hope it is a good, clean hard fought game saturday. my favorite games are the slug fests (although, i think we will do a lot more slugging )

92 tide,i dont take whats said here personally. I come here to get you guys perspective on things. Its always important to get an opposing viewpoint(whether you like it or not). Anyway you know how espn is,they have always tried to stir the pot between opposing teams. Especially when it comes to college football. Should be a great game and good luck to you guys(but not to much).

He may be right. La State and Florida may be more talented than we are, too.

Doesn't make them the better TEAM, though.

“I know what it takes to win. If I can sell them on what it takes to win, then we are not going to lose too many football games.” - Coach Paul Bryant and I can see Coach Nick Saban agreeing completely.

Re: Georgia player says Dawgs 'more talented' than Tide

I first posted in this thread that this wasn't much of a story. Now, I've got a different tune since multiple UGA players are running their mouth. Murray seems to be the only sensible one by doing the media blackout.

As I said earlier in this thread (maybe not so clearly), it's not so much they feel they are the better team (they should be confident), it's that they are in the media saying it. Has anything like this come out of our players...no and it won't. It speaks to the discipline we have not to engage in a war of words prior to the game. I'm actually proud that we take that approach -- although it's entertaining for us fans to hear it coming from the other side.

"With all due respect to Alabama, we've been in this game in the past two years more than they have." - Georgia TE Arthur Lynch.

Well, they've been in that game for one half. I'm not sure where they were during the second half of that game last year.

BTW, using his logic, Georgia should throw the game for the good of the SEC to ensure that Bama plays in the BCSCG because, with all due respect to Georgia, we've been in that game in the past three years more times than they have.

It's almost always worked out very well for us when the opposing team has flooded the air/cyber waves with smack talk. This is no different. We'll just take care of business without all the hot air. When you've built yourself up with smack, it hurts all the worse when you get smacked in the nose until it bleeds. Let'em talk...
