*sigh*

I'll say it one. more. time...

Instead of linking to various website, find me something on the NCAA website and we'll go with it, otherwise we're chasing our tail.

The onus is on you to show us OFFICIAL status from the NCAA, not claimed or awarded from other organizations.

I want to believe you, but unless / until you can show the NCAA recognizes these, we're just wasting space.

Again, your only two links are to a Rivals page & a Wikipedia page. Come back with something credible and we might believe you. Why can't we find any of this info on the NCAA website?
From Florida State University website

Last year, the NCAA proclaimed the Seminoles to be one of the only eight official dynasties in the 130-year history of college football. The recognition was based on an extraordinary, unprecedented run of 10 consecutive 10-or-more-wins seasons, and 10 consecutive Top Four finishes. No other team has matched that record, and it is unlikely that any ever will. http://www.fsu.edu/~fstime/FS-Times/Volume3/nov97web/2nov97.html

Fair enough, now we've got something from a more credible site, an actual University's website.

Still though, if any of us are actually going to believe in this, we're going to need it from an NCAA press release or the NCAA website.

You've got to admit, it's more than a little curious that the only places you've found this info is, Wikipedia, FSU Rivals site, and a retro 1997 newsletter archived on FSU's website. Surely you can admit that's a little bizarre?

That's only an article from the school newspaper, the now defunct Florida State Times.

C'mon, quit with the fluff links, show us something from the NCAA or I'll just close the thread.

The first person I heard discussing the College Football Dynasty recognition award status was Jim Dunaway on his radio show several years ago. If anyone knows him well enough maybe he can provide more details about the award.

Dynasty status is imaginary, and isnt recognized by any official organization, including the NCAA... Although the debate continues on Tidefans.com
