Not a bad thing that the dead period starts tomorrow I suppose.

I don't follow your reasoning. How so? Was it because he wanted DC here?

A little harsh with that comment. Coach Sal was a highly respected NFL coach and was a great assistant and recruiter at Bama. You don't get a DC gig if your not a good coach. He did not do well at UT but that had more to do with the talent and implementing a totally new scheme.

Since we are talking replacements, what about D. Dooley?

Jeremy Pruitt knew more about the game of football when he was twelve than a lot high school coaches will ever learn.

Wish him well. Except against his alma mater.

He had been told that. OTOH, he may not have believed Smart was ever going to leave - before Coach Saban.

Aside from the money and the title of DC, CSS knew that he had two guys, at least, ahead of him for DC at Bama and both were far younger. That may be a negative factor for him, but a job is a job...

Is coach Pruitt leaving immediately or is he going to stay through the BCSCG?
I may disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure you're not Hitler.

That's not been released. However, he stopped recruiting a couple of days ago, which was appropriate. I'm assuming he stopped as soon as he accepted the job...
