    For me they have been--
Nebraska 1972 Orange Bowl, Auburn 1972, ND 1973, Boston College 1984, Auburn 2010

The 1997 Auburn game would definitely make honorable mention...

I'll go with your #s 1-4. That is more than enough misery to relive.

Most of the worst ones for me are far more recent (born in '71). La. Tech....last minute loss to Arkansas(maybe 2 to them?)...Patrick Nix coming in for Stan White. I also lost 2 "TShirt" bets and have had to wear both Tenn and OkSt orange to work.

Would a loss on 1/7 make your list?

Ditto. Just looking at those scores bring back bad memories!

Not mine dulac72. It's the upset losses that hurt me the most. Despite the odds makers and public opinion....I'm not sure losing to the #1 team in a BCS title game can be really be a huge upset. There's 100+ other schools out there just wish they had an opportunity to play in this game.

For me, Nebraska 6-38, 1971, Notre Dame 23-24, 1973, and Auburn 16-17, 1972, in that order. I still can't believe that the 1971 team was essentially non-competitive against Nebraska.

Will go with games that I attended. (Long walk to the car)

1968 Ole Miss 10 Bama 8 Jackson, MS Long drive home.

1970 Barn 33 Bama 28 Sullivan to Beasley hype

1972 Texas 17 Bama 13 Cotton Bowl. Long Drive home. Ran out of gas on I-20 close to Shreveport made it worse.

1976 Georgia 21 Bama 0 Drove thru the mountains north Georgia on way back only good part of that trip

2006 Mississippi State 24 Bama 16 Most disgusting feeling I ever had at a Bama Football Game.
