What an awesome football game.Anyone that says the bowls don't mean anything need only check Connor Shaws face at the end of the game.Meant everything to that kid to win this bowl game.Honestly couldn't believe the refs in this game.Must have had $on Michigan.

Here's one - not a great pic but you get the 'point'.

Since when should the Big East (RIP) work a big boy college football game? Have they ever even really seen one?

No explaining the officiating gaffes in this game, just terrible.

Clowney's hit one for ages. Sanders continues to excel returning punts, and both USC qbs played well. Fun game.

Can only imagine what Bama D would be like with Clowney added to the mix, at that point it almost wouldn't be fair.

Clowney might just win the Heisman next year. I cannot believe he is just a (true) sophomore.

just a rules question, but what dictates a first down measurement. is it the nose of the ball breaking the plane of the nearest edge of the pole? i did a quick search and could not find the answer.

Yes. The inside of the pole creates the 'plane' that must be broken.

So if the ball's nose touches the pole its a first down?
