    McCarron 25 - 2 vs other Bama QB's

Please update me on Bama QB's that have a better record than A. J.

Jay Barker still has a better record, but AJ could surpass it next season. Barker also only lost 2 games in four yrs as a starter.

    GMac was 24-3
Stabler 28-3-2 (didn't start them all)
    Barker 35-2-1
    Trammel 26-2-4
    Joe from Beaver Falls 29-4

but Jay Barker would be your answer...

I'll say this....He's 25-2 with 3NC's and has thrown for 5,956 yrds 49TD's and only 8Int's at over a 66% clip.....and....He has 1 more whole season to play throwing to Cooper, White, Bell, Norwood, Jones, Black, and Foster......He's going to rewrite the record books at 'Bama and go down as THE BEST Alabama College QB by not a mile but a Continent!!! He's the Best we have ever had and it's not even close.

AJ is already the only one out of that group to win 2 titles.

If he wins three in a row... you're not talking about best in Alabama history anymore. We're talking history of the game.*

*I understand his stats won't stack up. But I'm really just talking about winning.

Actually his stats stack up very well against any former player.

An undefeated season would put him at 38-2. That would be .950
A 13-1 season again would put him at 37-3, or .925

Basically, to top Barker he needs to go undefeated (in terms of winning %, of course)
Honey Badger can take what the Tide gives him and like it.

I think he was talking about QB's who threw for 5000 yards a year (ex Ty Detmer).

Yes they do as I listed above. JPW leads in passing yards w/ 7,826 is 2nd now in TD's w/ 45.

Believe you me McCarron will throw for more than 1,870 yrds this season to pass JPW. AJ is already the TD leader (49) and of all the major starters he has by far the best TD-Int Ratio (6.125-1). He doesn't just stack up....he dwarfs them...no disrespect to them....But AJ is the MAN.

For perspective, AJ is currently @ 0.926 (2nd highest in Bama history).

If we were to go 14-0 next year, he'd finish @ and unbelievable 0.951!
