Setting rules and limits are fine, but putting too much pressure on a kid can have adverse effects too (we all the preacher's kids that were good on Sunday, but partied harder and crazier on Saturday night).

If he's working hard when he's supposed to be working, he'll be fine. These are not "thug" actions, they're college behavior actions.

He needs to be aware of what the potential financial repercussions at the next level could be though. A damaged reputation as a partier or not a hard worker could cost him a couple million off his rookie contact.

Well, like it or not he will be the face of aTm football for eons as the only/first freshman to win the Heisman. Much like us and AJ now leading the QB Alabama conversation whether we like it or not.

I've always believed everyone is free to do what they want as long as they're willing to accept the consequences. Do something really stupid and see how long you keep your job. Even if you're self employed your customers can fire you. JF needs to understand that and hopefully he will.

Ingram was 19, he handled it pretty well, so I don't buy the he's young thing. If you're a college athlete and dumb enough to get a picture taken of you with fanned out hundred dollar bills, you're a complete moron.

He has a history of being a clown. I knew few in school that turned out fine. Not sure the money shot is any sillier than this one.

Not only did he allow the photo to be taken, he posted it to Instagram HIMSELF. Now, that's bad judgement.

My brother partied with Mark and Julio at The Rose Supper club in Montgomery. The pictures aren't pretty. The only difference is that people that took the pictures didn't post them on the net.

I'd tell the AD to leave me alone and enjoys the millions I'm making them. As long as he isn't breaking laws I don't care what he does.

Not everybody has to be a role model. Should he, yes. I don't care what he does but I can certainly see why A&M does. CNS always preaches about representing your institution in a first class way on and off the field. This is what they are trying to convey. Success always brings the bloodsuckers out too, and you have to protect yourself (and in his case, his brand) against that. With all the tragedy recently you would think it wouldn't be too hard to figure that out.
you dont get to decide whether or not you are someone's role model

I'm expecting a big sophomore slump from him. We'll see
It wont be surprising because people will expect him to keep putting up PlayStation numbers every year now and I just don't see it in the SEC every year.

Sad part is have not seen anything he has done that 90% of other kids don't or would not do. This guy should enjoy this time in his life 3 years from now when he graduates the fun will be over. The only thing I would suggest to him is be careful of your surroundings and know where the cameras are.
Yep he has to know by now the cameras are on him.

Exactly, he brought this on himself. Not to mention the pics of him drinking and partying on instagram as well.

What are the odds he'll be arrested at least once before the season starts?
They are probably high considering he has already been arrested for "alcohol induced problems" before.

Don't you have to be 21 to gamble in a casino in the United States?
That's what I thought too. Every one I've been in you had to be at least 21.

Not necessarily. Indian reserves have different rules. I played the slots in barona California and their age limit is 18. Prostitution is also illegal but there's a town in Nevada where a brothel is legal. States have loop holes
