The SEC certainly has to replace some sick talent during the offseason before heading into 2013. Players like Jarvis Jones, Damontre Moore, Tyler Wilson and Eddie Lacy will be noticeably absent, but there are talented underclassmen to pick up the slack who are either known or will announce their presence come September. Some replacements are already known, but most are not and position vacancies will be decided with position battles during spring practice and fall camp. Hereís an early look at who will replace the SECís 10 biggest names in 2013:
Les Miles isnít sweating the mass exodus, so maybe everybody in Tigerland shouldnít be sweating the 10 underclassmen leaving early for the NFL draft. That number swells to 11 if you count Tyrann Mathieu, but Mathieu didnít play this past season for LSU after being dismissed and had no chance of returning in 2013. To put LSUís 10 early NFL draft entrants into perspective, the entire SEC had 11 in 2012. Then again, the SEC saw that number climb to 33 this year. And, yes, there were a number of head-scratchers. That's always the case.
Alabama does not spend too much time celebrating the national championship before focusing on recruiting. That persistence will lead to the Crimson Tide having one of the top classes by the end of the offseason..
