Who remembers when this was Belle Glade and the area around Lake Okeechobee?

Didn't know why they were good, but have known for about 60 years that they were good. My Dad was heavily involved in kid's baseball in the B'ham area during the 50's and 60's. Some of the toughest out of state competition he would face would come from the Louisiana teams.

Oh, Susanna. Oh, don't you cry for me, for I come from Alabama with a banjeaux on my knee. G'wan to Louisiana my true love for to see.

This makes me shudder to think about if CNS had stayed in Red Stick!

I agree. Ten years of coaching by CNS at LSU would not have been pleasant for us. Great talent with great coaching would have given LSU a lock on championships. It has to be a sickening thought for them, knowing how things could have turned out.
It is easy to overlook the great decisions and leadership of Mal Moore.
