It's obvious that this is an extraordinary recruiting season. Some of the guys at the top of our board have flipped, flopped, and then flipped again. Generally, recruits aren't going to be reading this board, but it's about time to assume that they may be. I'd like all to think and temper language about our recruits and those who are good possibilities to become so. Saban has been known for taking on kids with problems and turning them around, so we should not count him out on some of the kids who appear to have problems. IOW, we want to be part of the solution in supporting them, not part of the problem. It's not that Nick has no limits. When he left LSU, he left Miles with two recommendations of kids not to recruit. Miles ignored his advice and signed them, to his eventual sorrow. I don't want to restrict discussion, but let's be careful about throwing around terms like "headcase" and the like...

Earl is "on target". . .for the 'one-millioneth' time. Hey, most of these young men deserve the very best. . .I can't be giving them my very best by taking jabs at them. We know what "Nick Saban stands for," lots of love albeit 'tough love.' But isn't that what LIFE IS, tough sometimes. . .and not necessarily LOVE. Life is hard. . .many take aim at us when we don't deserve their critisizing scrutiny! Is it possible I can be a catilyst for a young guy to make a positive and good decision at this stage of his young life?!This one applauds you, Earl! Good luck all you recruits! The University of Alabama would love to have you all. . .but, of course, NCAA rules simply won't allow such! There are many great universities in the south and all over the country, for that matter. GO TO THE ONE YOU FEEL YOU CAN BE MOST SUCCESSFUL AT. . .AND FOR THE RIGHT REASONS!! We applaud you. . .we cherish you, with all your God-given talent. . .most of all we wish you the best in making the important decision at this time of your life!! Good luck!

Thanks for this, Earle. There is a certain player, whom is among one of the ones that you are alluding to, that I know for a fact that CNS really wants to sign. I don't think that, I know that. I was told personally by one of his former coaches who knows CNS that CNS really wants him. We as fans tend to get way too emotional, but this is not CNS' first rodeo. He knows the nature of this process, and he knows the promises and tactics others use to convince kids to do what they want them to. There's a reason CNS welcomed Cyrus and Calloway back with open arms after hiccups in their recruiting process. There's also a reason CNS wants this kid so bad...

The only headcases are the adults who let the actions, tweets, and status updates of these kids influence their moods and actions. Don't feed the beast, and it will starve.

Amen...just remember, these are 17-18 year olds and think of how you were at that stage. I think my Mama's advice comes in at this stage: "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all."
