For many Crimson Tide fans, the period between the end of football season and kickoff in the Fall is the sports equivalent to the long dark night of the soul. For some, the only thing that helps during the off season is recruiting coverage and the arrival of A-Day at the end of Spring practice.
The sports betting site Bovada released its 2013 Heisman Trophy odds this week (only for entertainment purposes, of course), and it's no surprise that Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is atop the list. Never mind that Ohio State's Archie Griffin is the only player to have won two Heisman trophies (1974 and 1975). Manziel will go into the 2013 season as the guy to beat for college football's most prestigious individual award.
