    Brian Kelly at Pebble Beach

Does it bother anybody else that Brian Kelly (wearing his ND outfit) is playing at PB? Why not Nick?

I saw that too as I was channel surfing and had to laugh.

Relaxing with Ms. Terry at Lake Burton and thinking about 2013 is much better.

CNS played in last year's Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Last year before playing in the ATT Pro Am, CNS spent some intense time practicing with our men's coach, Jay Seawell. CNS is that competitive in everything he does. Pebble Beach was just too close to NSD for him to practice, prepare and play this year.

It really does't bother me. Saban could probably get invited to anything he wants to get invited to. I'm sure everybody that saw him was thinking about how bad ND got hammered by Bama in the BCSCG.

At least he'll score more than 14.

He played with Bellicheck IIRC. I remember him hitting his tee shot on the par 3 17th to about 15 feet when the cameras were rolling and commentators were talking about him. Unfortunately, he missed his birdie putt.

"A long way," he said after being asked how far the Crimson Tide had come since Coach Nick Saban arrived three years ago. "I guess you could say it's the distance from Shreveport to Pasadena."

Let Kelly do the celebrity thing, Coach Saban is too busy preparing to hoist another another crystal football.
"I'm just a simple plowhand from Arkansas, but I've learned over the years how to hold a team together, how to lift some men up, how to calm others down, until finally they've got one heartbeat, together, a team."
