Just goes to show how inferior they are. Josh Bynes was *U's first player to win both, a National Championship and a Superbowl.
How many players does Alabama have? Two just this year

I know Namath and Stabler did. Would need to think a little more to figure out if any others.

Re: Paul Crane 2012 SEC's Legends Class

It obviously couldn't happen until the Barn's only NC came in 2010 since the Super Bowl began in the late 60's. For that matter, their other "title" they claim was when they were called API.

Of course, it goes without saying that the first three super bowl winning qbs where from Bama!

Re: Paul Crane 2012 SEC's Legends Class

I think Jeff Rutledge won a Super Bowl, either with the Giants or the Redskins.
LB Robbie Jones was on that '86 Giants team also and was a freshman on the '79 Bama NC team.

I think we should add Ozzie for the Ravens Super Bowl winner this year since he was a very important part of it.

Re: Paul Crane 2012 SEC's Legends Class

Wasn't Johnny Davis on the late 70s Bama teams and the 1981 49ers?

My bad - he was on the 77 team that got robbed.

Rutledge was on the 1986 Giants; in fact he ran a key play for a first down on a fourth & one after they lined up like they would punt. He was also on the 1979 Rams who lost and I think the 1991 Redskins as well.

Bynes becomes the first Auburn Tiger from the 1957 or 2010 national championship squads to also claim a Super Bowl victory. He is just the 17th player nationally to win a BCS title, SEC championship and Super Bowl victory.

Now my question is, how many Bama players won the SEC, NAtional Championship and Superbowl? We had two just this year.
