I can understand him wanting to protect his nickname copyright..But..He needs too be concentrating on the game that even made his nickname profitable..Lots of distractions surrounding him since the season ended..I dunno..I don't wanna see a kid fail that has a chance to make history..Even if he's our rival..Get to the Pro's & then worry about copyrights..JMHO
Next news item. Scam Newton is filing a injunction to stop people from using Scam. Yes sound stupid so does Johnny Football.... But there is no football so we are all bored...
Kinda sick of the guy at this point. One loss should take of that though.

Mean people suck. Kindness rules.
Here is my question. Did he come up with the nickname or someone else? If someone else did then he has to come to some sort of agreement with them. I am just guessing. RTR!!!!!!!!!!!!
So, he can't profit from his name while in college but, he can profit from protecting his trademark while in college. Is see a new trend of athletes trademarking their names coming.
I too swear that I have heard the term Johnny Football before Manziel was ever a glimmer of hope for A&M so, I don't understand how he can even trademark the term.
It seems like I've heard it before, but it may just have been a generic name for a football hot shot. Though in his case, if the name specifically refers to him, he could claim rights to its usage. Someone who knows more about trademark law than I do (which would be just about anybody) might be able to explain it.

It just sounds like Manziel is really getting too full of himself. That trip back to earth comes with a hard fall sometimes.
Let those who don't want none have memories of not getting any. Let that not be their punishment, but their reward. Brother Dave Gardner
