Yeah...The ref on the last play was guilty of anticipating a foul, and really cost us
We still should have won but that stat gets me, 29-8 when it comes to free throws.

Thank you for the enlightenment. I now know that blowing a 10 point lead with 3 minutes left is a good thing. I feel better now.
Wasn't this the same crew that screwed us up in Vandy 2 years ago?Well, even though these guys are technically independent contractors, their game performance is still subject to review by Shaw. I've never done it before, but I'm going to write him and urge that this crew not be allowed to officiate another game in our conference. Let'em go somewhere else with their whistles...

You should write Gerald Boudreux (SEC Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials). I doubt Steve Shaw could do much.Well, even though these guys are technically independent contractors, their game performance is still subject to review by Shaw. We get one defensive rebound in the last three minutes of regulation, if we get one box-out on all those clanging free throws while we still had a sizeable lead, the refs do no matter. We didn't, so they did.You should write Gerald Boudreux (SEC Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials). I doubt Steve Shaw could do much.
Doubt it - I did not see hard drinkin' Timmy HigginsWasn't this the same crew that screwed us up in Vandy 2 years ago?

You're right. I was still upset when I posted that. It's important to remember that these guys aren't really "SEC basketball officials," as they don't exist as a body any more. They're all independent contractors, making about $1k per game, and they can officiate for any conference which will hire them. This was done for economic reasons, and, IMO, it was a mistake. The conference lost leverage when that happened. If they get barred from the SEC, someone else desperate will take them on. It also increases the opportunity for corruption, which I think I saw today...You should write Gerald Boudreux (SEC Coordinator of Men's Basketball Officials). I doubt Steve Shaw could do much.
