Georgia officially lost another member of its 2010 football recruiting class on Wednesday when the university announced that fullback Alexander Ogletree has left the team for medical reasons.

According to a university release, the rising senior will no longer play football, but will "remain on athletic scholarship, continue to attend classes at Georgia and is on track to graduate."

Ogletree is the ninth member of Georgia's 19-man 2010 signing class -- joining tailback Ken Malcome, defensive end Dexter Morant, safety Jakar Hamilton, cornerback Derek Owens, linebacker Demetre Baker, offensive lineman Brent Benedict, defensive end Jalen Fields and receiver Lonnie Outlaw -- to either leave the program for reasons other than entering the draft, or never qualify for enrollment. Meanwhile, offensive lineman Kolton Houston has still yet to play in a game and linebacker Brandon Burrows made a limited college debut just last fall.

I seriously doubt Ogletree will "remain on athletic scholarship."

He may still receive his grant aid as if he was still on scholarship, but he's almost certainly going on medical hardship scholarship. I like how whenever Saban does it, they make sure everyone knows he's not counting as an athlete...when it's somebody else they'll use shady verbiage like this.

It points out that even 'Goody Two Shoes' Richt works the system. Everyone is exceeding the 85 MPH speed limit. Some are going faster than others. No one knows how much faster, or slower, because all are on different roads. When they hit the radar, all will be at 85.

Isn't Olgetree a stud? Am I thinking of the wrong guy?
You're thinking of his brother Alec, who did fairly well at the combine. Alec was also arrested for a DUI during January, which doesn't go well with his suspension at the beginning of the 2012 season.
