Our guys are doing everything they can on Len without fouling him...he's a good enough FT shooter to not hack
Too late to experiment but I'd be interested to see Gueye and Jacobs on the floor at the same time. Can't be done though because they both can't come out to rest at the same time.
you can see why we have trouble maintaining leads by how Maryland has held us off: when things go bad, they slow it down, throw it down in the paint, and drive.
They are giving us opportunities, but we follow them up with turnovers of our own. We just have to keep this thing this close, and hope a few outside shots fall..
Len did get away with an offensive foul before he scored a little ways back; Jacobs was afraid to resist because the refs will call a foul on him if he was able to hold is ground.
Well, they give it to us and we give it right back. The BB gods are just not on our side tonight, I fear. MD, despite their height, are not world-beaters...
MD is certainly giving us plenty of chances, but we just can't seem to take advantage. I don't recall seeing so many unforced turnovers, both ways, in any of our games.
He takes it too deep and forces the floater in the face of a tall defender when he can pull up earlier and shoot a jumper...
