You heard it hear first. I have been thinking about this game for a couple weeks now, and I have come to the realization that we match up well with them.

Auburn has not had but one close ball game this year. LSU. LSU cost themselves that game. AU did nothing. Offemsively, AU had nothing until late in the game. LSU was a good defensive team. Still is. We are a GREAT defensive team. We match up well.

Our offense will cost us this game if we are to lose it. However, if we keep the AU offense off the field, which I have EVERY confidence that we will, then we have better than a 50% chance to win.

Bama is due a big home win. Against a top ranked team. The turmoil that supposed fans are causing surrounding Shula will be resoundingly SHUT UP when Shula's team beats Tuberville's team.

mark it down people.

THE ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE WILL BEAT THE AUBURN TIGERS ON NOVEMBER 20, 2004.

ROLL TIDE!!!

I've been thinking the same thing. While I give props to auburn for their 8-0 record and playing with focus, I think Bama has a fairly good shot at beating them. I think auburn is good this year, but not as good as they think they are.

Can you imagine the meltdown on their message boards when Bama smokes 'em in Bryant-Denny?

I will have to agree with you...there is an upset brewing for the November 20th football game in Tuscaloosa, Alabama @ Bryant-Denny Stadium.
It is going to be a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. :D

I don't know how many of you like/dislike Jim Donnan, but he said on "Talking Sports" Sunday night that Alabama would be a formidable (I think I spelled that right) opponent for the rest of their games. I don't hear him knocking Bama very much on there. He keeps saying if other teams had lost their starting QB, running back, etc. they would be in the same boat Alabama is right now.

OK, put down the crack-pipe and walk away slowly... Just messin... I have to disagree, AU is just too talented and have too much a stake to blow the Iron Bowl. I do feel it will be a good game, for a half maybe...

I believe!!! That would definitely make the year.... I felt like we would beat UT...and said so many times, too bad it didn't hold up. But the Tide is going to finish great..I still feel it.

Impossible to say who wins that game at this time

BAAAADDDDD things could happen between now and then.

And even if they don't, Alabama might not score against Auburn.

WE WILL beat one of the "big three"

I completely believe we will beat one of the big three. I would prefer it to be Auburn and LSU but I'll take one of em. This team has heart, and it has guts. It just needs one thing to pull it all together. Pennington will have a career game and we will be VICTORIOUS. Hopefully, twice but I believe once.

"Bama is due a big home win. Against a top ranked team."

Just because we are "due" doesn't mean it will actually happen. If that was the case, we were also due to beat SC, Ark, and UT. However, I d-mn well hope you are right!! :BigA:

I thought that we would beat TN if the defense gave us the ball a few times and we maintained good field position. I was wrong. Everything went as well as we could have hoped for defensively last week, and we still lost. We lost because we cannot score and because the mistakes made by the offensive unit outweigh any advantages produced by the defensive unit.

To beat Auburn, our defense had better score because I have seen nothing to convince me that our offense will. Auburn is very good...

hummm, I want some of what your smoking.
And should you be right, I might have to buy you a 6 pack.
At this point I do not see where we can even stay in a close range with the Tigers. If we played Auburn right now, and THIS IS MY OPINION, the score would be something in the range of 42-6. Again this is my OPINION . :BigA:

Let's play one game at a time please. There's a lotta football to be played before the barn comes to town. Plenty of important business to take care of before that.

This will be the 3rd Iron Bowl I've attended in Tuscaloosa with my Auburn-loving husband (I have thus far refused to return to Auburn after nearly getting into a knock-down-drag-out fight with some Aub-boy down there in 1989  ). I'm so sick of losing to Auburn in Tuscaloosa I could just spit. Unfortunately, I do not see us being physically able to pull it off this year.

I'll be there, screaming and praying, but I'll be slack-jawed surprised if we can even keep it close, much less beat them.

Oh, ye of little faith...

I see so many doubters. When did Alabama fans become so accustomed to being down on their team? Remember Jan 1, 1993? How about one cold night in December of 1999 in the Georgia Dome? What about the night Bo Jackson ran backwards?

Alabama is going to beat Auburn this year. I hope that this post comes back to the top of the page on the evening following that win. I hope that all of you with little faith will believe again!!!

I refuse to be negative and find fault with a team that plays it's heart out on every down. A team that has had three head coaches in three years. A team that has lost two in a row to each of it's most hated rivals, UT and AU.

We have them in Bryant-Denny. They are going to be focused on the SECCG, and possibly bigger things.

We WIN. We WIN.
