Surprised FAU upset UNC to play on tomorrow for winner take all game.

William and Mary surprised Ole Miss as well and hung pretty dang well in that regional.

Not surprised to see Georgia Tech up on Vandy late in Nashville, something about this team every year in the regional/super regional where they like to lose after dominating the regular season. I just don't get it.

I have a feeling about this years Vandy. I think they'll be right there till the end. Fullerton's my pick to win in all, but I won't be surprised at all to see Vandy win it. They've got everything it takes, great hitting, great pitching, great defense.

That unc/fau game was a great example of implosion. There had to be someone else that could have at least made unc swing the bats in the big innings. I stead they simply walked the guys all around the place. Made me sick to stay up late and watch. I felt cheated out of several hours of sleep at the conclusion!

My thoughts so far:

UNC won against a tough USCe team, but not surprised.

LSU and OU had the best game so far with the pitchers duel last night

Vandy lost today which is not surprising

NC State came back to beat Rice which surprised me, ACC teams like to choke this time of year (see FSU/Indiana)

Cal State Fullerton losing last night was surprising, that doesn't happen often at home

Mississippi State tore Virginia a new one which didn't surprise me either (see FSU/Indiana)

I recommend that this thread be locked. 230kv_barehand is being too critical of the ACC, and we don't need that kind of negativity around here.

:pDT_gy:

*Ol' Granpaw Mike Martin and his 'Noles choking yet again in the postseason. No excuse for FSU to be getting stomped by a team from the Little Ten.

*Didn't realize Fullerton was no inept at the plate...but UCLA can't hit, either.

*Corbin stuck with Ziomek a little too long yesterday; really hope Vandy shows up today (and tomorrow).

*I hate LSU and their stupid mullets.

*Rice gift-wrapped that one for NCSU. Not overly impressed with either of those teams.

*Not surprised to see State whipping up on UVA.

Yeah, the Semicolons took it in the gut again. Why Semicolons? 'Cause come crunch time, they always muster about half the intestinal fortitude it takes to win anything that counts. Thus Semicolons. Hope you're having twice the fun down there with your fellow sporting Semicolons, Jameis.

First B1G CWS appearance in 29 years, even more beautiful at whose expense it came.

North Carolina is in the ACC, why were you not surprised they won?

I had a feeling about Vandy, turns out it was gas. Both my picks flamed out 0 and 2. SMH.

Because unlike most ACC schools UNC has actually beaten SEC schools and do pretty decent in Omaha. The rest are generally garbage. NC State just put Rice out, but I'd b surprised to see them actually win in Omaha. Like RTR said, UNC is a #1 seed playing at home as well with big time talent. Still doesn't change my thoughts that the ACC sucks this time of year!

I did not realize UNC was #1 overall, thought it was LSU or Vandy that was at the top.

So we have LSU in Omaha and Mississippi State seems to be in good shape with the Gamecocks in a one game showdown to get there. Another good year for the SEC in baseball.
