At best mack brown is a socialist and is not 'up' to the competition. Good news.

I can do a better job at whining if I'm paid half as much as he is...

Re: Mack Brown calls for limit on CFB staff size

Mack Brown's real envy comes from Coach Saban knocking Brown's name out of the limelight.

Alabama and Coach Saban exposed Mack Brown
as someone who is over the hill. Circa 2009... :)

If Mack could get by with doubling his staff, he would, but he knows it won't beat a better coached team.

All the steers in Texas and all the money in the Shorthorns coffers, wont make Brown a winner.
(That bull's done been 'Cut'...)
Mack Brown and Texas have worked themselves into contention to be the 4th. best team in Tx.

Coach Saban and his staff will outwork any in the country so I really am not worried about this at all. Mack needs to be worried about that bunch down at College Station that has taken over his home state. RTR

I am not sure why a head coach of a large school would say something like this. Maybe the brass at Texas isn't allowing him to grow his staff?

This is the type of thing that we hear from smaller schools, with less $$ to spend. Texas can spend with any school.

Dejvau all over again, they pulled this kind of stuff off on Bama after CPB left. Same stuff.

Brown just showed the country why he will never contend again.

Mack: "Nick's working so much harder than any of us. It's not fair. I was supposed to be the coach everyone talked about these days, and I never intended to have to bust a gut to compete. If only Colt wouldn't have gotten hurt..."

Coach Mack, or whatever he calls himself, has the the same opportunity to do the same as Coach Saban. It's called, though, having the best team!

Just refer to him as Mack, he doesn't deserve the title of Coach.

I find it interesting that in this sorry economy he's suggesting taking away jobs from other coaches.

Guess when you're stealing over 5 mil per year, you kinds lose perspective.

He can get anything he wants at Texas. They're just seeking to hamstring Nick Saban and Alabama. This has been done almost since the beginning of his tenure here with several little regulations that sought to hamper his ability to recruit.

They're basically going to have to wait until he retires, though.

This is my exact thought. I could see Vandy or someone like that complaining about it, but Texas is the most profitable school by far if I remember correctly.

Maybe Texas just isn't willing to grow his staff because they know it's not worth the investment.

Maybe UTX ought to unload some coaches including Brown and invite Patterson and his TCU staff to relocate to Austin. He will have to be dismissed, he is not the type to retire any time soon on his own.
