After thinking about FL they'll probably lose three games, especially if they don't get the QB play they need.

I feel good about Florida's chance at getting to Atlanta this year, despite the tough schedule and rash of preseason injuries and illness. For me the biggest hurdle will be the only regular season loss from last year....UGA.

For me - a huge factor is that this will be the second straight year that Florida will have the same HC (Will Muschamp), OC (Brent Pease), and QB (Jeff Driskel) - all working/playing together under the same system. Continuity - along with talent - should make all the difference in the world with regard to an improved offense.

Also some of you may know we picked up former KY coach Joker Phillips last year as our wide receivers coach. We're hoping Coach Phillips can improve upon this sorely neglected component of our offense. With Driskel's arm if we don't furnish some down field threats we are not maximizing his potential.

Here's a great article discussing the wide receiver situation at U.F. LINK

Our defense should be very close to what we had last year, especially after we get a few games under our belt. We lost some very good players but we have enough depth to recover and compete again.

It's going to be another great year as we build on last year's success.

Go Gators! :)

I have UF at 7-5 (5-3). Losing at Miami, at LSU, UGA, at SC, and F$U. I had a UF fan tell me it was ridiculous of me to pick Miami over UF. I told him it sure was, just as it would have been ridiculous of me to have picked Louisville over UF. Never heard back from him.

Yeah after that loss to Louisville and our 'at times' anemic offense last year I can't blame anyone for not picking us to win the East this year....especially given our schedule.

To tell you the truth even I cannot predict what will happen - but knowing what I know and seeing what I saw last year and years previous I really think we should be able to pull off a division title and a trip to Atlanta to hopefully play Bama.

Regarding Miami, as you said, there's no right or wrong to which team one would pick as the victor - Miami always has a decent program and the game is at home so who knows....we'll find out soon enough! :)
