Off to bed, oregonbltzkrieg I know I have been kinda of a ..... to you but good luck with your season. Maybe we will get to watch the final game together.
There's not much to dislike about Manziel, except perhaps his attitude. The only thing that would suck about having him for a QB is that he's just too good to stick around at the college level for more than 2 years, then you're stuck looking for the next guy, who will never measure up. And it's very nice to see Saban riled and meeting some match-ups that are troubling for him. Now, Manziel v. McCarron in our offense is debatable but Manziel v. Mariota in Oregon's offense is no question Manziel.
They're about equal as pure runners but Manziel's field vision, balance, and escapability behind the line of scrimmage is like no other dual-threat QB I've seen. Alabama has played Cam Newton and Tim Tebow under Saban...neither could do the things he can do to extend a passing play with their legs.
Yeah, as long as he performs on the field he'll be able to get away with the other antics. It's pretty remarkable that the Tide found a way to beat that guy, or at least outrun him. You have a great team. Your offense in particular stood out this last weekend. Will be interesting to see how you play LSU.And the biggest thing with Manziel's off-the-field problems:
I don't particularly think he carries himself that well but it clearly has absolutely zero effect on his mental sharpness on the field. A guy just worried about chasing tail and drinking with the stars would have crumbled down 35-14 in the 3rd quarter after throwing a pick 6. Instead, he dialed in and played perfect the rest of the way. That is what Saban wants from his players and generally that is what us tide fans have been able to enjoy recently. So I can respect the heck out of that from Manziel.
thanks, hope we'll see you in Pasadena.Off to bed, oregonbltzkrieg I know I have been kinda of a ..... to you but good luck with your season. Maybe we will get to watch the final game together.
This is a major reason why I think Saban would be even more focused for Oregon and have his players ready for the similar offense. I think 'Bama playing A&M helped prepare themselves for an eventual Oregon vs. Alabama matchup, at least in my opinion. There's not much to dislike about Manziel, except perhaps his attitude. I totally agree, you are fortunate to have ATM in your conference, it gives you vicarious exposure to Oregon and a few other similar teams. Gives you some scheming material. Just like playing Stanford helps us out against Alabama. This is a major reason why I think Saban would be even more focused for Oregon and have his players ready for the similar offense. Take it easy and hope you come back.nite everyone, it's been fun
How's about try beating Auburn once, before you start talking about the "big" boys.In your opinion, who in the SEC could Oregon not beat? Florida? South Carolina. Georgia? ATM? Oregon is better than these teams. LSU and Alabama are the only teams that may be equal or better at this point in time. Oregon is already playing with the big boys.
