Does anyone know what is considered the best recruiting class of all time? With these points system some of the experts use to rank the clasess does this next class of Alabama have a shot to be considered the best ever?

IIRC, we broke the point total record last year on Rivals. This class will beat that IMO and next years will beat this years and so on!!!!! A great, great, great time in the incredible history of our storied program.

On paper, the 2004 USC signing class would have to be considered the best ever, in my opinion. They signed 20, including 8 five-stars and 7 four-stars. Plenty of ways to look at it, but that's just sick.

I think Meyer had a incredibly strong class the year after he won the NC (2008-2009). Most of those are juniors or seniors now. Looking back, maybe the class just didn't live up to the hype or new coach hasn't developed chemistry. I think a lot of egos tore that team apart. The unruly freshmen was the beginning of Meyer's demise.

Unlike some other schools high ranking classes, Bama does something with them.
Amen (rhymes with Saban) to that. Thinking Urban Meyer's last year after he "got sick" Florida landed six of the top 12 prospects in the country according to most of the recruiting services. Look at 'em now, if you can find them on a college (or for maybe one or two an NFL) roster.

The Miami classes from the early eighties were pretty sick when you see how many of them wound up playing on Sundays.

Modern-day, this might be the best class though.....

At the time, all of the recruiting services were saying that this FL class was the best in the limited scholly era. I have not gone back to see where those players are now/how they have performed.
