After 3 consecutive 3 win season seasons prior to his hiring, Coach Mac has CSU bowl eligible in his second year, with 2 games left on the schedule. (not sure why they are playing 13 reg season games?). Not counting his loss to us, his team has been competitive in their other 4 losses. (one 3 point loss, one 7 point loss, a 12 point loss to Boise St, and a 14 loss to Colorado).

His RB, Kapri Bibbs, rushed for 291 yards tonight!

They finished the night with 649 yards, 347 yards rushing and 302 yards passing. He is still putting together a balanced attack.

Congrats to him for job well done at CSU!

Thanks for posting this, I'm glad to see Coach Mac doing well, he's one of my all time favorite assistant coach at Bama, and ya never know, if he continues to do well, and continues to climb the coaching latter, he may make his way back to Bama as our HC one day..Ya just never ever know..

If you play Hawaii, it counts as a 13th game. No idea why.

But congrats to McElwain. Hope they can win their bowl too!

NCAA allows for a 13th game is you play a road game in Hawaii. It allows you to schedule an additional home game to help offset the travel costs. There is a limit though, which is why we only did it one year while we were under post season ban.

Bibbs is averaging over 200 yards per game in his last 5 games and has 19 TDs in that span. He leads the NCAA in rushing TDs on the year with 25.

Glad to see them doing well, especially since most morons on other sites like to point at that game as a "cupcake". How many other teams' cupcakes are bowl eligible with two games left?

While they have six wins, they could still go 6-7 if they lose to Utah State (who is good) and Air Force (who is terrible). I think 6-7 teams can go to a bowl, but are in line behind all the 6-6 teams and only get in if not enough qualify.

Watch out for CSU, Coach Mac is building a program there. So glad to see him do well & he has really good staff to help him.

These splash in the pan coaches don't last long, Mac is a program builder & I'm so glad we had him at Alabama.

Yeah, Mac really has their offense going as a whole, but Bibbs has been unreal the past two games: 312 and 291 yds respectively -- hard to imagine.
