Jeff Dennis Jewelers has done this a couple times I think. Now another jeweler in the B'ham area is doing something similar and I think the deal has something to do with it raining on Thanksgiving. They buy an insurance policy on promotions like this. Lloyds of London issues policies on promotions all the time. There is a jeweler in Gardendale who did the same thing for last year's Iron Bowl. His was if the game is a shut out, people who bought items between certain dates got a full refund. He actually came out ahead because the policy wasn't that much and people turned around and spent the money they got back. It's the same deal when you see a new car for a hole in one at a golf tournament,etc...
and I'll be the one laughing when I am a millionaire standing on top of the rubble that used to be the Empire State BuildingLOL, that's easy to offer. It's akin to offering $1m to everyone if a meteoroid destroyed the Empire State Building within the next two weeks.
Until Ted Mosby shoots you for standing on holy ground.and I'll be the one laughing when I am a millionaire standing on top of the rubble that used to be the Empire State Building
