Talk about USC's replacement for Lane Kiffin has picked up in the last day or two. Chris Peterson and James Franklin are two popular names for the job. Vandy folks say Franklin has not talked to anyone from USC.

Florida fired OC Brent Pease yesterday.

Hasn't it already been published that Peterson turned down USC?

Re: CBS reporting Sarkesian to USC

So you replace Lane Kiffin with a guy who has a worse PAC 12 record than Lane Kiffin?

Or even McElwain at CSU.

But they need to consider Gus or Franklin first.

Southern Cal is settling. Nussmeier may very well be gone to UW. Too bad, I think he's a good OC.

This is a poor choice, but I am always happy to see weak head coaches at power-house schools. Washington lost to all 4 ranked teams in the PAC this year. Their only decent win was over an 8-4 Boise State team.

Re: CBS reporting Sarkesian to USC

I don't understand this move by USC. They can have almost any coach they want and they choose Sarkesian?

He's barely over .500 and has some bad losses on his resume. What is the appeal?

Yep, and they (UW) had 20 starters back on that team.

While I would hate to lose him, CNS can always attract the best and brightest assistant coaches. They know being an assistant under Saban is a great stepping stone to a head coaching job.
