I still think a lot rests on Saturday...if they get blown out by Baylor (it could happen), won't be too many left on his side. OTOH, a win over Baylor and he stays, unless he wants to hang it up.
Well, he has called a few Seahawks home games in his broadcast career, so clearly he has strong ties to the state of Washington. It's obvious that he's would crawl across broken glass to go "home" to UW. :wink:
Yeah, I don't think he did himself any favors by pitching a fit and quitting before the season was over. Either with USCw or other potential employers. He comes across as irrational and impulsive. Not exactly what most employers want to see.
While that's true, I would think anyone looking to Coach O's history would know he's a bit irrational and impulsive.
I think I recall him openly lobbying for the Arkansas job last season.
I seem to remember hearing that he was helping (in some capacity) Northeastern Tennessee State Tech A&M resurrect their football program. Or something like that. Not as a head coach, of course. Even NWTSTA&M doesn't want Phil as a head coach.
I remember him saying that he thought he was a good fit for Arkansas. Turns out that Arkansas' fit wasn't 6XXL.
Seems like that would have been a lateral move at best had he left.
