He played with DJ Pettway at East Mississippi. Got inordinate number of tackles (60) for a DL. I've heard we offered Pettway to come back, perhaps this means he wanted to start again elsewhere and this is us bringing in a non freshman to play now.

According to Andrew Bone, Reed was recruited as a DE, not DT. Either way, GREAT pick up for Bama! RTR.

We've done real well with nose guards from community college such as Mount Cody and Jesse Williams. Let's hope Jarran Reed has that kind of talent.

Good pickup. As good as the dline was this year injuries and wear and rear really hurt us this year especially against au. The coaching staff seems to be trying to remedy that.
