I think 2009 Alabama played harder competition than FSU. We were also undefeated and had an Heisman winner. So I would flip those.

Cant really argue with that list. Like others have said, you could/should flip 2009 Bama and 2013 FSU. Its also interesting to see the love that is given the 2011 NC team since most of the media said that they didn't deserve to be in the game. Hindsight is 20/20 I suppose.

IMO, 2004 USC was better than 2005 Texas. I'm only 22, but 2001 Miami and 2004 USC were two of the best teams that I've ever seen.

That defense was just too much! That LSU fluke only reason it isn't higher.

I'd drop Texas down a few notches based solely on their performance in the BCSCG. Not much of a defense that night. It took Pete Carroll's boneheaded 4th down call on USC's final meaningful possession even to allow UT a shot to win. A great individual offensive performance by their QB, no doubt, but if Vince had gotten hurt...

2005 Texas should not be anywhere near that high, or API's 2010 shouldn't be that low... because they are basically the same team. If Vince Young or sCam Newton blow a knee out week one, neither of those teams get anywhere near the BCSNCG.

I feel very ambiguous about this list. 2009 is my favorite but that's mostly for personal reasons.

I think #1 and #16 are not really debatable, but everything in between is.
I think the 2005 Texas Longhorns and 2004 USC Trojans are given too much credit for their Championship game performances. I think in looking at the seasons as a whole, the 2009 Alabama team is, at worst, on equal footing.
And I definitely think 2009 Alabama should be above 2013 FSU.

2009 is Bama's best for me; Tebow crying, undefeated season, school's first ever Heisman winner and first NC in 17 years. 2011 and 12, while great in there own rights, just don't top that year IMO, although thumping Notre Dame comes pretty close.
