Yep, and we should have. Instead for some unknown reason, the gameplan was more pass oriented than run oriented. On the 25 called running plays (taking out the scrambles by AJ and sacks), bama rolled up 172 yards, averaging 6.9 yards/play. Even though Yeldon didn't have a fantastic game, he still averaged 4.2 yards per rush. We could have rammed the ball down their throats till they pulled everyone in the box, then passed on them. Instead we were passing even when the numbers in the box dictated run, even early in the game when there wasn't any pressure to score fast... It also wasn't just that we were passing, but the play calls were routes that were longer developing instead of shorter, quick hit stuff.
