Anyone have any info on this kid?

He is unrated (N/A) in apparently every recruiting site, but has us listed as his favorite on his profile.

I did a little digging. He's apparently an ATH - they list him as a Dual QB, a CB, and a WR. He's 5' 11", 190 lbs - 450lbs squat, 285 bench, 30in vertical, and a 4.49 50.

Apparently, he led his time to 13-1 and the semi finals. The only stats shown are 3772 yards (don't know if this is total or just passing) and 54 TD (once again, unsure if this is a combined stat or not).

Edit:

More stats on him at Maxpreps:

http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/blake-luker/8X8VB_TqEeKZ5AAmVebBJg/gendersport/football-stats.htm

Passing he was 176-253 for 2630 yards, 33TD and 3INT
Rushing he was 168 carries, 1142 yards and 21TD

I found his twitter:

Kid is a major Bama fan, though it appears he may be a UIndy commit from his Twitter profile.

So... not sure if this young man is coming to play for us or not.

Even if there's nothing to it, it's just incredible that we are about to get yet another No. 1 recruiting class, and there's still a possibility of some hidden gem coming out of nowhere at the last minute.
i can imagine a lot of other staffs shaking their heads and going, "Who ARE those guys???"

Never heard of the kid and I coach in Indiana. I guess that may not mean much but still.

Just out of curiosity Elkhart, do you typically run across players from as far south as Luker? He's in New Palestine which is towards the SE side of Indy, plus it's a smaller school so he probably doesn't get much exposure. Despite the fact my girlfriend's step-sister goes to that school, I've never heard of him either. I was just wondering if your boys came down to the 3A and 4A Indy schools very often.

It doesn't look like he is anything more than a fan to me. He may be pretty athletic, but he just doesn't have a D1 build, especially not for the SEC. Still, I'll take a fellow Hoosier who rolls with the tide any day of the week.

The farthest south we travel is usually the Rochester or Fort Wayne area in the playoffs. Unfortunately we haven't been down to state in a few years at my school.

I try to follow Indiana High School Football recruiting closely though. Maybe he'll be at the North/South All-Star Game in July... I'll be coaching in that game.

And I definitely agree with your last sentence! :)

Could be 'Bama's compensation for losing out on Gunner Kiel...'cause we're pretty sure he's not a legacy with a missing "F" from the start of his surname.

Hey, Elkhart, whatever came of Mike Stock?

That would definitely make sense. Shoot, it's probably easier for you guys to play Michigan teams than Indiana teams as far north as Elkhart is.

My dad was in the RV industry for about 20 years, so he spent a good bit of time in Elkhart. I hope the city's economy is starting to recover, because lord knows they took a hit when the RV industry tanked.

There is a difference between UIndy and IUPUI. UIndy is a smaller, more expensive private school with very high academic standards, and a good bit of prestige in the state. It would be the equivalent of what Samford is in Alabama. Most wouldn't hear of them though because I don't believe that they are d1 in any of their sports. Where as IUPUI is a public university that is an extension of both IU and Purdue, only in Indianapolis.
