Is our class unanimous #1?

At some point I am going to spend some time and determine how many players we have on our roster that are in that category.
Look at their profiles on RollTide.com. Most of them have the player's recruiting info in their bio.

Lets hope 2-3 years from now this is the top class still...and they've got the greats odds in favor of doing so. We all know everybody won't be a star but when you have 6 or 7 5-star players and a flat bed full of 4-stars and high 3-star...a great staff...great S&C

well, the likelihood is that this group wins at least one playoff run.

What amazes me more than the actual star ratings is how many are considered as a top 5 prospect at their position. At some point I am going to spend some time and determine how many players we have on our roster that are in that category. T

All four major recruiting services agree (which isn’t an easy task) that Bama’s haul was the No. 1 group in the land. Alabama’s six five-star signees are more than the entire ACC (5), Big Ten (4), Pac-12 (3) and Big 12 (2) conferences. This is how Saban maintains a dynasty in Tuscaloosa. He lands recruiting classes that an entire conference would be lucky to sign.
If I didn't love Bama, I would hate us too. That is just amazing re: # of 5 stars.

Thank you. Saved me some time. I really was going to do it, and had worked through the defensive side of the ball using 24/7's composite.

What amazes me looking at that is every position is represented. Attracting the highest level recruits at so many positions, multiples of them at the same position, and some positions that would seem to cause prospects at other positions to shy away. Lots to be excited about. We could not ask for a better job of recruiting not only great individual prospects but filling needs across the board by our coaching staff.

Admittedly green, but man, that`s got to be a load of talent ! Think about them coached up over the next couple of years, all the while getting worked on by Coach Cochran !

Finished going through it myself and noticed a few that were missed, at least some with at least one service rating them that high. i.e.

QB - Cooper Bateman 3 (ESPN)
RB - Kenyan Drake 4 (247), Altee Tenpenny 5 (247)
FB - Jalston Fowler 2 (Scout)
TE - Malcolm Faciane 4 (ESPN)
OT - Leon Brown 2 (Scout JC)
OC - Ryan Kelley 2 (Scout)
WR - Chris Black 2 (ESPN), Bradley Sylve 5 (ESPN)

DE - D.J. Pettway 3 (ESPN JC)
DT - Dee Liner 4 (ESPN), Jarren Reed 2 (247 JC)
OLB - Jonathan Allen 2 (247), Ryan Anderson 1 (247), Denzel Devall 5 (Rivals)
ILB - Trey DePreist 1 (Scout)
CB - Geno Smith 2 (ESPN), Maurice Smith 2 (ESPN)
S - Jarrick Williams 5 (Rivals)

LS - Cole Mazza 1 (247)
ATH - Eddie Jackson 5 (ESPN), Cyrus Jones 4 (ESPN)

We could almost field a team with all number 1 prospects at their position from one service or another. Just amazing.
