Will this be the first year the SEC will have a team in theis tournament? All other big 6 have had teams in this tournament.

I think in Grant's first season, we were invited to be in the CBI or that other tournament for teams who suck too bad to get in the NIT, but turned it down.
Yes, a lot of teams with losing records go to those and I believe you have to put up money to play. If I were the AD, I'd turn down a bid to either of the lesser tourneys.

Yeah- i think its something like 60K to host a game. I dont really care one way or the other if we participate- I doubt that the university would want to take part but who knows....
To me it would be like Georgia St. coming to get its teeth kicked in so it can collect a check in football. No thanks. You don't pay for an invitation.
