VAldosta St. has typically had good football teams. I wonder who knew him to recommend him? Smart used to coach at Valdosta St didn't he?

CKS was a DB coach and DC there.

I'm starting to think that Smart is involved in lot of decisions with hiring on staff...

Sounds like a solid hire for us..Some of the best & brightest coaches in college football are from the D II level..Football is football no matter the division..And Valdosta always has had a great football program..I've seen them play Jacksonville St a couple times & they were as well coached of a team that I've watched on any level in college football..Especially on the D side of the ball & their secondary..
