Crap! While I am no fan of Musburger, I cannot stand to listen or even look at Palmer. I suppose the mute button is my friend. As for Kirk, I suspect he will be paired with Fowler and/or Rece Davis for the featured ABC game.
Why form the SEC Network if all it will show is garbage throw away games, that's disappointing to hear, I know the SEC has had a good relationship with ESPN, ABC & CBS, but, if you're going to form a network, show the Prime-Time games & let ESPN & ABC, CBS pick up the garbage games..
Because its not just about football, although that certainly is driving the money train here. The SEC Network will broadcast all kinds of original programming - talk shows (including Finebalm), probably some documentaries, and other news shows, they will also broadcast all other sports. So you'll see basketball (men and women), soccer, softball, baseball, gymnastics, rowing, swimming, etc.Why form the SEC Network if all it will show is garbage throw away games, that's disappointing to hear, I know the SEC has had a good relationship with ESPN, ABC & CBS, but, if you're going to form a network, show the Prime-Time games & let ESPN & ABC, CBS pick up the garbage games..
When I said I could think of worse, she's who came to mind.It could be worse - we could be stuck with Pam from the Big10 games.
That can't and won't happen. CBS and ESPN pay the conference too much money.
That's actually a concern to me. If the SEC Network is handled the way ABC/ESPN handled the BCSCG, it could ultimately be to the SEC's detriment. Financially, it seems great to have bigger games on the network, but if the network is reaching a lot less people, it really hurts the SEC's exposure. Much like moving the BCSCG to cable lowered the ratings. It's a move that only pays off for everyone if it results in a massive subscriber base. The pecking order of selection will still have CBS first. The SEC Network is right after that for the Musburger and Palmer game. Then ESPN and the SEC Network handle the rest.
Rumor is FowlerSo what does this mean for Herbstreit now that he and Mus are no longer a pair? Will he continue to do the primetime ABC games with a new PbP announcer?
Not bad, but I thought Rece Davis was doing more play by play than Fowler.Rumor is Fowler
