The really sickening part of this is listening to all of the local media just singing the praises of Jay Jacobs and what a "home run " hire this is for Auburn while barely mentioning Pearl' s incredibly questionable past. This is the equivalent of a major football school hiring Jim Tressell- they were convicted of basically the same offense. And the guy that investigated and convicted Pearl is now head of compliance at the Barn. Only Auburn would hire a guy with 5 months left on a "show cause". Auburn fans would have been calling him and Bama extreme cheaters if he would have landed in Tuscaloosa. (Which was never going to happen). But now he is an "Auburn Man" who has been reformed. They truly are the most delusional and desperate fan base in America.
