Here's a free post from AlabamaIntel about the QB battle through four practices. Link

Fifth-year senior Blake Sims and redshirt sophomore Alec Morris have split the first-team reps evenly thus far through four practices.

It's always hard to predict the younger guys but I really don't see Cornwell avoiding the redshirt. The plant food knee injury with his lack of playing experience there is just no realistic way for him to figure in this year.

The thing about Blake Sims is that it's almost like he's tried too hard. If he could learn to play within himself he might stop making the bad throws that he is so maligned for. His spring performance last year was just awful. Perhaps he's been getting better all along and we just haven't been willing to see it. I think the A-Day game will show us a lot. If he comes in and throws three picks you can pretty much count him out. If he settles down and runs the offense we will have to rethink it.
