5* DB Minkah Fitzpatrick plans to visit for A-Day after saying Alabama is the leader and there's a "slight chance" he could commit this weekend. Link

Five-star Jersey City (N.J.) St. Peter's Prep cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick told Rivals.com Saturday that Alabama is his leader and there's a "slight chance" he could even commit this weekend as he visits Tuscaloosa for the A-Day game.

"I've got a lot of family in Alabama – my father's side is from there – so that's a big plus," Fitzpatrick told Rivals' Mike Farrell during a Rivals Camp Series event in New Jersey, where he received an invitation to the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Baltimore. "Coach (Nick) Saban is one of the greatest defensive back coaches and one of the greatest coaches of all time. Getting to learn from him for three or four years would be a great experience and I felt like I'd become the best player I could be there."

Just watched his Junior film. A few things I noticed: Very long (looks taller than 6'0), physical, great closing speed/acceleration. The thing that stood out to me was his ball skills/positioning. Half the time he'd be glued to the WR, and the other half he'd bait the QB into throwing his way, and because of his great closing speed, he'd make a play on the ball.

Based on some of these comments from Fitzpatrick we have to be a heavy lean. Here's hoping he commits to us this weekend.

I know we don't do "package deals" but seeing the video of both these guys I would say both are committable offers and they both seem to like Cristobal.

Very impressive list! We should get at least one commit on Saturday. I'm going to go over or under 2. RTR!

I REALLLY REALLY Daron Payne, commits to us... Personally I think he will be a NSD decision but he looks like an absolute BEAST!! Could be even better than Jesse Williams....

Richard McBride wants to come up but doesn't have a ride. Sucks that people from here who are going up can't give a kid a lift. NCAA rules and such.
