There's a lot of reasons to think that. You could make the same argument in terms of AJ not beating out Phillip Sims (very gifted in his own right) until the season started. The notion that talent will automatically transition to success at starting is often wrong. Coker has a huge upside, but expectations should be more along the lines of Zach Mettenberger. Hopefully we get the 2013 version instead of 2012.

It's just so out there to think he'll perform at the level of the top player in college because he gave him a run for his money at the starting job. We can name lots of position battles in which one guy turned out to be far superior in the long run.
