Part of the grading should include intangibles such as being a winner. Alabama's system did not require AJ to chuck the ball all over the place like these other gunslingers did.

They are missing a very critical piece - the specific games that Alabama would also have lost without AJ, and the result. Without AJ at QB, Alabama loses at least one more game each of the two BCS championship years with him as the starter. The result - two more seasons like last year, and two fewer national championship trophies in the trophy case.

Sometimes a math formula doesn't tell the complete story. Yes, Alabama would still have been a top tier team without AJ because of all of the other talent. But would Alabama have been a championship team without AJ? Probably not.

Championships are worth a whole lot more money than a few random wins.

I get the sense many people think we could have plugged any of our backup qb's in there and still had relatively the same success. There's no way that happens. Not even remotely close. AJ was a big reason why we had the success we did over the last three years.
Those people must not have watched the BCSNCG against LSU.
