The SEC adopted legislation during its annual spring meetings which will allow schools to play music and use its sound systems at any time, except from the time the center stands over the football to when the ensuing play is whistled dead. The new rule also includes "traditional institutional noisemakers," including MSU fans' cowbells.

Keith McCants, a unanimous All-American linebacker for Alabama in 1989, has been arrested again, the Tampa Tribune reported on Friday. The Tribune reported McCants was arrested in New Port Richey, Fla., on charges of driving without a license and possessing drug paraphernalia. The arrest report said officers found a glass pipe with residue that tested positive for cocaine in McCants' vehicle.
