whoever ends up playing Namath will need some big hands

Having read "Rising Tide"...it was clear that this would make a fantastic movie.

Very underrated director. You never hear his name, yet he's never had a movie that failed at the box office.

His worst in terms of differential was 3:10 to Yuma which cost 55,000,000 and "only," made 70,000,000 (great film BTW.)

I know back in the old days the coaches used to encourage guys to not let a girl drain their energy the night before a ballgame.

Do any of the old timer/insiders know how Coach Bryant addressed this issue with Namath?

"Now Joe, I will let the girls the night before slide...yes, I know you very well...but I'm putting my foot down on this deal...There will be no cheerleaders visiting with you at halftime, and I mean it!"
