Question: Help requested - Planning a trip to Tuscaloosa for Auburn game

If you're driving, definitely stay in Meridian or west of Tuscaloosa. Not only will it be closer to your home it will also be FAR less traffic in and out of town on the day of the game.

Unless you're willing to pay $250-450/nt with a 3-night guarantee just forget staying in Tuscaloosa. The game weekend rooms are booked solid, often have waiting lists and charge insane rates. I've seen the Super 8 on McFarland (which I wouldn't stay in if you paid me) asking $175/nt for Western Carolina-type games.
