Make a goal and allow no circumstance to take away from your focus on achieving the goal.
Then go about it step by step and let nothing negative change your approach or your process of moving in a positive direction.
Get away from all negative people, and most of all, have faith.
I sometimes think doubt is the devils way of holding people back. They start wondering, "Can I really do this"? That's where faith comes in. If you have faith you can look the devil in the eye and say, "Hey, get your sorry butt out of my way. Me and God have some things we're going to accomplish. Now excuse me, but step aside, we're coming through".
I'd also go buy me a new TV, even if it's a small one. My wife and I have one big screen in the den and one mid sized screen in the bedroom. We spend 90% of our TV time watching the 11 inch, nonHD Magnavox sitting on the bar in the kitchen. It cost a whopping $69.00 and it shows the same TV programs the others do. I think that would be a good first step.
One thing I do when everything starts running amuck(and trust me it has) is simply this--I close my eyes and say, "God I need your help"...and then I proceed forward and don't look back.
There's a song that some crazy guy wrote after losing everything in Hurricane Katrina, that I'm kinda fond of.
The chorus goes..
"I know right now that I am running blind,
So aimlessly into the night.
But I know, that darkness never lasts.
And I believe there is a plan for me,
So much bigger than this world can see,
And I have faith that "My day" will come to pass".
Nothings ever as bad as it seems and nothing's ever as good as it seems.
Just wake up tomorrow and move forward, do the best you can, focus, and everything will be all right.
Now go get that little television
All the best!
